24 down, 3 to go!

I've officially been here for 24 days with minimal stuff, one dog, and no husband. I'm so excited for my mom to come into town tomorrow. Im also excited to make the cross country haul (while stopping to do a little Texas antiquing!!) and Im ALSO excited to see my sweet husband and Harley on Sunday! A lot to look forward to over the next few days.

So I think a few thank you's that are in order.

To Thomas: thank you for putting up with all of my ranting and "I miss you's" and complaints over the past few weeks.
To my family and in-laws: Thank you for all the supportive phone calls.
To Clara Jane: Thank you for the face time! It always made my day! (she cant read blogs yet but SOMEDAY she will)
To Wendy girl- thank you for keeping me company and for also keeping my toes snuggly warm at night.
To my Austin friends- thanks for taking the time to hang out with me and keep me company during this lonely time!
To YouTube- Thank you for teaching me how to knit! It's been a lot of fun and has definitely passed the time.
To Netflix- Thank you for providing me with enough 'Watch Instantly" material to keep me occupied.
To my Nanny Family- thank you for letting me use your washer and dryer and for letting me bring Wendy to work occasionally.

I think that's all.. but I'm sure there are others Im not thinking of! If I've forgotten you, then THANK YOU!

Today was my last day at work and it was bitter sweet. The new nanny came and shadowed me today and I felt extremely good about her. The kids all gave me presents.. one of them being a charm bracelet with 4 hearts on it (one for each kid). It was a very sweet gesture. Im definitely going to miss them and  their crazy shananigans!

Tomorrow, I plan to pack and clean all day.. and hopefully factor in a trip to the park for a run as well. I'll be picking my mom up from the airport tomorrow night and then we'll leave around breakfast on Saturday morning.

Before I sign off for the night, I wanted to give a little update on baby Parker. He's currently on life support because one side of his heart is working but the other side is not responding. They've decided to take him off of life support tomorrow in hopes that the other side will resume working again. But there's still a lot of unknown. The Shelton Family could definitely use a lot prayers over the next 24 hours as they embrace this time of uncertainty. I cant imagine what they are going through.

Some friends of ours in Georgia (Kalee and Matt) had a similar (but not so similar) devastating situation happen a few months ago. Their daughter, McKinley, was diagnosed with something called Trisomy 13  (18 weeks into her pregnancy). They were faced with a difficult outlook.. and also a lot of uncertainty about how much time left they would have with her. She has sense gone to heaven.. and Kalee and Matt are slowly on the mend. But it saddens me to think that we could possibly have another set of friends dealing with the similar heart break of losing a child. Kalee has a blog as well and it can be found below - listed with my other favorite blogs.

On a little bit of a lighter note, I'm going to get off of here and enjoy a movie! I need a little relaxation before I dive into the cleaning tomorrow. Goodnight everyone!
