Mountains, Waterfalls, and Girls Night, oh my!

We travel. A lot. I think we kinda thrive on it. People think we're crazy because we're gone a lot of weekends. But it works for us! And we have a lot of fun doing it :)

We've been gone several weekends lately. The first being a trip up to Boone for our 1st Appalachian football game in 2 years. We don't get to go very often because its just too far for a short weekend trip. Not to mention we had that small move to Texas last year :) The weather was less that welcoming, but we made the best of it that we could and went to a quarter of the game. The rest of that time was spent under a tailgate tent or in a restaurant. Our friends Jen and Blake went with us.

Two weekends ago, we made another trip to the mountains with our friends Bonnie, Gerry, and Paisley. They have a family cabin in the Glenville/Cashiers/Highlands area of NC (just over the GA border). We had a lot of fun and saw a lot of beautiful waterfalls.

Thomas being silly :)

This past Thursday, Thomas left for a 2 week trip to Canada. So I got together with some girlfriends this weekend for the Gold Rush Festival in Dahlonega. It was a short one night trip but we had a lot of fun watching Bridesmaids, painting nails, and burning popcorn :) We stayed at our friend Meagan's parents house in Dahlonega.

As for this week/weekend, Im preparing for a visit from my Mom and a bridal shower for my good friend Kalee this weekend! I've been diligently working on a t-shirt quilt so I hope to be able to continue to get some time in on that as well. More pics to come as I get it closer to being finished!

Happy Monday everyone!
