A noteworthy week of Sam-isms and Caroline-isms!

Sam- "I'm angie"
Me- "Why are you so angry Sam?"
Sam- "Because I'm wearing my oscar socks.. and he's angie too"
(Sam removes his Oscar the Grouch Socks)
Sam- "I'm not angie anymore.. I'm happy!"

Caroline- "I want to see Wendy and Charlie"
Me- "You mean Wendy and Harley?"
Caroline- "Yes"
Me- "Maybe we can skype with them"
Caroline- "Yea! Then we can see Wendy and Charlie!"
Me- "Harley"
Caroline- "Charlie"
Me- "Ok"

(Secretly.. and now not so secretly.. we think Harley looks more like a Charlie too. He doesn't quite match up to the tough guy name. But more so with the happy go lucky Charlie name. But we love him anyway!)

Me- "Whatcha doing Sam?"
(while looking at him holding my phone and staring at the black screen)
Sam- "I'm playing angie birds!"
Me- "Ok Sam :)"

A few pics to share..

This is our setup as we went to go and check the mail everyday. Sam has his own "mailbox keys".. along with a Cars Lunchbox full of Cars.

This is Sam and Caroline.. skyping with Wendy and "Charlie"

We were able to finally get the train table together that the boys had gotten for Christmas. It took a couple days.. but I'm proud to say it's DONE!

Preparing for a Roller Coaster ride?

Caroline was excited to get pretty pink nails "like Cate's". It was slightly nerve wrecking getting her to stay still long enough for them to dry. But somehow we accomplished it with no accidents!

The kids and I had a great week.. but I'm definitely glad to be home and in my own bed! Now I've just got to find the energy to keep unpacking and get this place organized!

Happy Lazy Saturday!

Greetings from Texas!

I'm back.. And it feels totally weird. Especially since I'm not going home to our apartment and am staying here.
The kids and I have had a low key weekend. It's rained a lot..So we've stayed inside for most of it. I flew in around lunchtime on Friday and I've basically been here since. We did get out to go to target today for minimal supplies.. And then thought about the park.. But it ended up being too wet. Maybe tomorrow!

It's been great seeing the kids though. We've definitely had a good time together.

Luckily, Karen (the other nanny) is coming for a few hours tomorrow to give me a little break (and some human interaction!). I will be very happy to see her smiling face in the morning.

I thought I had more energy to blog.. But it's just not happening. Knowing that the kids will be up at 6:00 (like clockwork) makes my eyes droopy just typing it.

More to come later this week (and hopefully some pictures too!)
